Day #9 | Newbie @ SVENM

Having been here for four weeks I asked Noor (another future designer and the newest intern arrival at the studio) to offer her insights on SVENM as she begins her five week professional training here

Maral - Which three words would you select for your first impression of starting at SVENM?

Noor- "Home, nervous and excited."

M - Can you expand?

N - It felt like home because of other familiar faces from university. I was nervous due to wanting to prove myself while trying to understand everything going on, catch-up with existing projects and gaining information to start working on my first task. Throughout this though I was excited because it is the start of a new experience and I am now officially engaged in the real world of design!

M - What do you expect to learn at SVENM?

N - Well, after the first task that I took here at SVENM, I feel they know exactly what I want to be in the design field in future. I am happy that I am getting closer to the furniture part of the design field. It is still my first week and I already have learnt lots and I am hoping to leave SVENM with greater knowledge of design processes in general and the furniture field in particular.

What I have observed as part of the team so far is that we are working on varied, thoughtful and interesting project areas.
