Frame Magazine: Issue 78: Page 129 "People may meet in architecture but what happens once they've met? Is it only memories and fleeting impressions of beauty and texture they are left with?" Edwin Heathcote, architecture critic.
When I read this quote, as a young architect it reminds me that everything we design or create, plays a significant role in people's lives. Our work has a physical and emotional implication and therefore our decisions as we create should aim to incorporate the people who may come into contact with our spaces and objects and so on.
I feel having read the words of the architectural critic Edwin Heathcote I have a new goal to achieve, that while crafting my work in this field I owe it to others to interact and ask questions and feel my way through to the design of space rather than making personal assumptions as I set out plans.
