Day #12 | Paper Snake mock ups..

Day 12! We are into the 3rd week and we have Already learnt so much!

As usual, our day started off at the desk and then spiraled into different adventurous tasks! Today, Sonia and I had a meeting with media representatives from Alserkal, one of whom was Ambika Rajgopal the communication executive. The talk circulated around making their social activity more viral and interesting, ways to make SVENM more social media aware , and some ideas about starting a student internship community that an then pass on their experiences at Alserkal as interns to the upcoming ones. this would be done through publishing posts on socil media, Alserkal's podcast and perhaps link our blog somehow to this activity.

After the meeting, Sonia and I had some conversations about many things to do with the blog and other interview possibilities to feature in our profile blog posts.

Sven called Leen and I downstairs, and we had a conversation where he was asking us for feedback of our 2 week experience at SVEN|M. Our answers were full of positivity and confidence about the kind of experience we were having with the type of work and the surrounding of the internship. Leen mentioned how she learnt the importance if deadlines and that it is completely different from the university where things are a lot easier and more of handed on a silver platter !

As for me, I added how the professional world was properly introduced to us and we were able to lean how to keep our communication and ideas at a professional level that will then be beneficial for our future careers. I went on adding that even though I was always interested in pursuing a job in the event planning market, I was never sure if my decision more than now. Due to the kind of work I am involved in at the company, I was getting more experienced with making connections and setting up proper events.

I was never more sure and understanding of the quote that said "love what you do to do what you love.."

Towards the end of the day We made some phone calls to make the flowers delivery from The White boutique, who's owner will be joining us in the event. Meanwhile Leen joined Sven in cutting out pieces of paper of the final design of the snake-like seating arrangement for the Majlis.

Another week done! Many more to come with greater experiences !
