Day #11 | A little Sven inspiration

Hello! New day!

Exciting day , as I waited for Ivana to pass by the office for a meeting about the ladies night event, I continued working on the blog . A bit later, I was called in by Sonia to join her in a meeting with Sven to discuss possibilities for the display and seating arrangement of the event. Sonia had many ideas which she had some photos of, printed out to share with us. I also had previously sketched some ideas in my molskine.

After several discussions, and with Sven's ideas included, it was decided that we will make a snake like seating arrangement around three charmers in the middle. This way, the ladies can take a look at the tables, as it is the new launched SVEN|M product while they socialize. He then quickly sketched out what the suggested prototype would look like and Leen was assigned to develop it on the screen this time.

At 12 Ivana arrived, with a box full of her designed bracelets and anklets, as well as samples of statement neck lasses that will be displayed in the event. Sonia explained our idea for the majlis seating space, and how she would be sitting among the ladies as she takes them through each step of knotting the para cord.A while later we gathered around the table and Ivana took a couple of minutes to try and explain to me how she does her simplest knots, and Of course i couldn't do the simplest of them.. It may not seem so complicated but trust me it is !

After Ivana took off, I continued working on the blog and Sven came upstairs to discuss the process of the snake-like seat with Leen. At one point, Sven's critique continued into one of his inspirational talks, which we absolutely enjoy, and of course.. since when do I miss the chance to make notes of that?

I quickly grabbed my pen and started noting phrases down as Sven said:" Nothing is good until you play with it, If you don't play , you cannot push beyond expectations. What you want to achieve, is what describes who you are , defines who you are, makes you different and unique. Simply, nobody will go your similar way."

He then gave us an example of one of his favorite songs by a punk rock German band about the revelation of real playfulness in life and how it is absolutely essential to dig in the wrong direction, because you will learn and eventually make your way to the right one.
