A new day at the office and we kick start the morning by piling up the documents we used in the Kaynouna exhibition design process. It is a great and super helpful idea to gather a project file that includes the mood boards, ideas, sketches, suppliers and contractors and many details that relate to the full process from the beginning to the end. It is indeed essential for when we come to look at the project one more time to be on the same page as we were once on. Another thing we worked on was the meeting minutes document. So after having met with Shireen and the Careem team, we had made some notes and remarks about the thing that were discussed in the meeting and the things that are still in question. So, Leen compiled all those information into a document as we recalled what each of us had said using the notes in our moleskines.

The next Assignments were as exciting as they sounded! We met downstairs at the table with Sven to discuss the new projects we were about to start pitching in. One of them was a residential space in Abu Dhabi which they had already started demolishing parts of to turn into a commercial Pilates and yoga studio named FLO.

Super cool ha?

So we discussed the plans and went through some of the elevations which were so beautifully and carefully drawn on the paper. That was mainly Leen’s task, to continue working on the plans and demolish the existing structures of the first and second floor as Sven had already done the ground one.

My assignment was super exciting!

It was titled the Snake Charmer.

It is a single legged table that resembles the body of a snake with a glass top. Sven provided me with couple of sketches, one was in plan the other was a sketch of how the table would look like in the end and a radius of 85 mm for the inside curvature.

We both went back to our desks after that and started the work process to be continued tomorrow! Stay tuned and have a great day!
